Backyard Reception

This past April my son, Rush, married his longtime sweetheart, Cezanne, in a beautiful park in Mill Valley, California. They wanted a small-ish wedding (about a 100 or so guests) with their closest friends and family. Most of all, they wanted to take time to celebrate their love in the town they live in, with the people that made the pieces all fit together so beautifully. It was one of the most personal and meaningful weddings I have ever attended.

If you have ever planned a wedding, you know that the numbers on a guest list can add up fast. That being said, I realized that we would need to host a celebration after the wedding to be able to include our So Cal friends.

With the help of a very talented group of professionals, we created a lovely backyard summer party with a generous grazing table, delicious small plates, craft beer, speciality cocktails and wines to the nines to celebrate the newlyweds. Throw in a little Gypsy jazz and the vibe was on.

To give our guests a little taste of the wedding day festivities, our dear friend and filmmaker, Wyatt Daily, created a short film (shot with a Super 8 camera) as a surprise gift to Rush and Cezanne.

Take a peek and turn up the sound.
